Game & Chat Logs

Viewers for the EVE client logs your PC writes locally — the Game Log and the Chat Log — that let you search your history and import past logs in bulk.

Open it from the left sidebar under Tools.

What it shows

Two viewers over the log files EVE saves on your computer:

  • Game Log — your searchable game-log history.
  • Chat Log — your searchable chat-log history.

Chat logs from intel channels are additionally parsed into sightings: who was seen, where, and in what hull. Those sightings surface on the Universe Map overlays and on each system's Intel tab.

Using it

  • Search your history in either the Game Log or the Chat Log.
  • Import past logs in bulk to bring older history into the viewers.
  • Read intel sightings on the Universe Map overlays and the per-system Intel tab, derived from your chat logs.

Notes

Note

Duplicate messages are recognised across characters and machines, so importing a second computer's logs does not double-count the same sighting.

  • This tool reads the log files EVE writes locally on your PC (the Gamelogs and Chatlogs folders); it does not fetch anything from ESI.
  • Parsed sightings feed the intel overlays described under Universe Map.
